Gather your family, friends, and a cozy lawn chair or blanket for a spooky good time at Family Fright Night! Join us for an evening of Halloween fun, local food trucks, and a screening of the 1984 classic Ghostbusters under the stars at Willard Park, right next to Evansville’s beloved haunted library.

Event Highlights:

5:00 PM - Trick-or-Treating:
Explore the halls of Willard Public Library as you and your little ones collect goodies from each department. Get ready for a unique trick-or-treating experience as you tour the historic 139-year-old Gothic Revival library, rumored to have its own ghostly resident!

5:00 PM - Kids' Activities:
Need to keep the kids entertained before the movie? Head to our Reading Room for Halloween-themed activities, including coloring crafts, LEGOs, and STEAM kits! It’s a great way to get the little ghouls and goblins excited for the evening.

5:00 PM - Food Trucks:
Come hungry! Local favorites Hul Lotta Lumpia, Uncle Ted’s Just Dang Good Food, and Sweet Dreams À La Mode will be on-site serving up delicious snacks, meals, and sweet treats. Click their names to view their profiles and menus! Grab something to enjoy during the movie or while exploring the park. (Note: Food truck purchases are not included and will require payment.)

6:45 PM - Movie Screening: Ghostbusters (1984)
Settle in as we bring the classic Ghostbusters to the big screen! Bring your blankets or lawn chairs for a comfortable viewing experience—seating at picnic tables is limited, so come prepared. Relive the adventure and laughs with your family in a magical outdoor setting.

Important Information:

Cost: Trick-or-treating, kids' activities, and the movie are free of charge.
Food: Available for purchase from food trucks.
What to Bring: Lawn chairs, blankets, and your love of spooky fun!
Parking: Free parking is available near the library at Berry Global and in surrounding areas.
Safety Notice: Smoking and illegal drug use are prohibited in Willard Park. Offenders will be asked to stop or leave.
